On this episode of Monday Morning Radio, host Dean Rotbart talks with Evan Morgenstein of CelebExpert about utilizing celebrities in marketing campaigns. According to Morgenstein, celebrity spokespeople are not just for large companies—small businesses can also benefit from the fame and following of a celebrity.
Morgenstein says that the main reasons why small businesses don’t use celebrity spokespeople are because they think that they will be too expensive and they simply don’t know how to go about securing them. However, Morgenstein says that celebrities are more accessible than ever and the marketing dollars you put toward them is typically money well spent. Morgenstein claims that even start-ups can benefit from the influence of celebrities by utilizing them to help secure start-up funding, as well as to kick-start a PR campaign.
Evan Morgenstein is the President and CEO of CelebExperts, a consulting firm that matches companies with the right celerity spokespeople. He is also the co-founder and co-host of CEO Powercast, a podcast for entrepreneurial CEOs. Morgenstein is a graduate of Syracuse University’s Maxwell School.
